Ingredients

2 Cups Sweet Rice

Pinch of Salt

1 Tsp. Soy Sauce

2 Cups Water

2 Tbsps. Oil

1 Tbsp. Sliced Shallots

1 Tsp. Minced Garlic

1/2 Cup Dried Shrimp

1/2 tsp. Sugar

Chopped Green Onions

1/2 Cup Pork Floss

Dried Shallots

2 Chinese Sausages

1 Tsp. Oil

Instructions

For making the Sticky Rice, first take 2 cups of sweet rice and rinse and wash the sweet rice thoroughly until the water is fully clean. Once it is cleaned, drain out the water.

Then, mix a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of soy sauce with 2 cups of water. Pour the solution into the sweet rice. Add another cup of water until the sweet rice is covered.

Put the rice into a rice cooker to cook. When the rice is cooked, open it up and shuffle the rice using a spatula. Keep it aside.

Next, to prepare the Chinese Sausages, take some water in a pan and add in the 2 sausages. To this, add 1 teaspoon of oil and 1.2 a teaspoon of minced garlic. Cook until it is slightly golden. Turn off the heat. Let the sausages cool down and cut into thin round slices. Then, set aside.

In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and heat it. Once the oil is hot, add 1 tablespoon of sliced shallots and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Sauté until it is slightly brown in colour.

Then, add half a cup of dried shrimps (Remember to soak it in water for 4 hours). Fry the ingredients for about 1-2 minutes and add in a pinch of salt. Next, add a ½ teaspoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Mix the ingredients well.

Then, add in the sliced Chinese sausages and some chopped green onions. After a couple of minutes, remove it from the heat.

Take one scoop of sticky rice and put it on a plate. Add the dried shrimps and Chinese sausages on top of the rice. Then, sprinkle some pork floss and fried shallots and serve it hot.
