7oz (200g) cookies/biscuits/biscotti
9oz (250g) dark chocolate
6 tablespoons (90g) butter, unsalted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
3.5oz (100g) pistachios, toasted
2-3 tablespoons liquor/coffee (optional)
Pinch of Salt
Powdered sugar for coating
A Plastic Wrap
First of all, take 7 Oz. or 200 grams of biscuits (can substitute it with cookies or biscotti).
Then, take 9 Oz. or 250 grams of dark chocolate in a bowl, add 6 tablespoons (90gms) of butter to it and melt it until it smoothens. Stir and mix it well from time to time. Remove the chocolate from the heat and keep it aside.
Next, add 2 tablespoons of milk to the hot chocolate, 2 tablespoons of liquor or coffee for extra flavour. However, it is optional.
Next, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture, followed by the crushed cookies and 3.5 Oz. or 100 grams of pistachios.
To this, add a pinch of salt and mix until it’s evenly combined. After this, spread half of the mixture onto a plastic wrap and then shape into a log. Holding from its both ends, roll and twist its ends to seal. Likewise, follow the same process for the remainder of the mixture.
Once done, refrigerate both the sausages for about 2-3 hours until it hardens.
After 3 hours, take out the chocolate sausages and unwrap both of them. Coat the sausages with powdered sugar from all sides. Cut off round slices of the chocolate salami and enjoy it with your dear ones.
